There is a difference between believing something about Jesus and believing in him.
Biblical faith is more than acknowledging that Jesus existed or agreeing with certain facts. It is placing our trust, hope and confidence in Christ himself.
Scripture repeatedly calls us not merely to know about him, but to believe in him — to rely on the one whom the Father sent.
“This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” (John 6:29)
“The righteous shall live by faith.” (Rom. 1:17)
Hebrews 11 shows us what that faith looks like in action.
Faith is not passive — it trusts God enough to act on His Word, even when the outcome cannot yet be seen.
“Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.” (Heb. 13:7)
But our righteousness is vested in faith in the absolute perfect one: Jesus Christ, sinless, perfecter of my faith.
Repentance is not simply feeling sorry for sin — it is a turning away from evil and a turning toward God.
Scripture shows us that true repentance produces a changed direction: leaving what is wrong, pursuing what is good, seeking justice, and living differently.
“Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” (Ps 34:14)
Repentance begins in the heart, but its fruit can be seen in the life.
Scripture makes it clear that our own righteousness can never make us right before God. What we need is not better works, but the righteousness of Christ credited to those who believe in him.
Our confidence is not in what we have done, but in what Jesus has done for us. ✝️
“For with the heart one believes and is justified…” (Rom. 10:10)
How can you belong to the Kingdom of God?
Jesus gives the answer plainly: you must be born again.
Belonging to God’s Kingdom is not about outward religion or simply calling yourself a Christian. It begins with new life from God — believing that Jesus is the Christ, loving God, and living in obedience to him.
“Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)
New birth changes who we belong to, what we love, and how we live.
