Genuine saving faith
What is faith?
Faith is trusting God even when we cannot yet see the outcome.
Hebrews 11:1 describes faith as the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen. It is not blind optimism — it is confidence rooted in who God is and what He has promised.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Cor. 5:7)
Faith looks beyond what is temporary and fixes its eyes on what is eternal. ✝️

What does personal faith look like?
Personal faith is more than knowing about Jesus — it is knowing whom you have believed and trusting him with your life.
Paul could say, “Christ lives in me,” because his faith was personal, active and rooted in the Son of God who loved him and gave himself for him.
Faith in Christ changes how we live, what we trust, and where our confidence lies. ✝️
“I know whom I have believed…” (2 Tim. 1:12)
There is a difference between believing something about Jesus and believing in him.
Biblical faith is more than acknowledging that Jesus existed or agreeing with certain facts. It is placing our trust, hope and confidence in Christ himself.
Scripture repeatedly calls us not merely to know about him, but to believe in him — to rely on the one whom the Father sent.
“This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” (John 6:29)
“The righteous shall live by faith.” (Rom. 1:17)
Hebrews 11 shows us what that faith looks like in action.
Faith is not passive — it trusts God enough to act on His Word, even when the outcome cannot yet be seen.
“Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.” (Heb. 13:7)
But our righteousness is vested in faith in the absolute perfect one: Jesus Christ, sinless, perfecter of my faith.
Repentance is not simply feeling sorry for sin — it is a turning away from evil and a turning toward God.
Scripture shows us that true repentance produces a changed direction: leaving what is wrong, pursuing what is good, seeking justice, and living differently.
“Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” (Ps 34:14)
Repentance begins in the heart, but its fruit can be seen in the life.
