Are we really good people?

The answers are clear in the Bible:

Romans 3:10–12 affirms that all of us are sinners: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”

Verse 23 is certain that human beings across the globe fall short of the glory of God: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

The truth is emphatic in Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?”

Because of our sick hearts, our lives are sinful as explained in Mark 7:21–23 “For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

But the good news, which is the gospel is found in 1 Timothy 1:15 “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.”

Death for all

We all ask the big questions.

Why do we die?
Why is there suffering?
Is there any hope?

The Bible doesn’t avoid these questions—it answers them.

Death was never God’s original design. Sin brought death into the world, but God didn’t leave us without hope.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom 6:23)

That gift isn’t earned.
It isn’t deserved.
It is offered freely through Jesus Christ.

And one day, every person will stand before Him.

“At the name of Jesus every knee should bow…” (Phil 2:10)

The most important question isn’t whether Jesus existed.

It’s what you will do with Him.
