A pray of surrender acknowledging the sovereignty of God

Not every prayer from history should be repeated. But some are worth reflecting on.

John Wesley included this prayer, adapted from the Puritan tradition, in 1755. For generations, Christians have used it as a reminder to surrender every part of their lives to God.

Its value isn’t found in who wrote it.

Its value is found wherever it echoes the truth of Scripture.
