How careful are we with our brothers?

Scripture

How careful are we with our brothers and sisters?

Jesus teaches that sin is not only about outward actions — it also reaches into our anger, contempt, and the way we speak to others.

“Everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment…” (Matt. 5:22)

Our words matter. Our attitudes matter. How we treat others matters.

Following Christ means choosing humility, forgiveness, patience, and reconciliation instead of bitterness and insult. ✝️

Can we earn our own salvation?

Scripture

Can we earn our own salvation?

Scripture’s answer is clear: no.

Salvation is not achieved through good deeds, religion, rules, or self-improvement. Christ came to save sinners, and eternal life is found in Him.

“The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners…” ( 1 Tim. 1:15)

Our hope is not in what we can do for God, but in what Christ has done for us. ✝️

Who needs a savior?

Scripture

Who needs a Saviour?

The answer is simple: we all do.

Sin is not only someone else’s problem. Scripture teaches that every one of us needs forgiveness, mercy, and rescue.

Jesus said, “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mark 2:17)

The good news is that Christ came for people who know they need saving. None of us outgrow our need for grace. ✝️

How important is your word?

Scripture

How important is your word?

Scripture teaches that truthfulness matters deeply to God.

Jesus said, “Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No.’” (Matt. 5:37)

Our words must be dependable. We may not lie, exaggerate or deceive. God’s own word is truth, and his people are called to reflect that truth in the way they speak.

Say what is true. Keep your word. Let your speech reflect the God you follow. ✝️

From whom do we get good things?

Scripture

From whom do we receive good things?

Scripture points us back to God, our Father.

Jesus reminds us that if earthly parents know how to give good gifts, how much more will our Father in heaven give what is good. James says the same:

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above…” (James 1:17)

The blessings in our lives are not ultimately random — they come from a God who is good, generous, and unchanging. ✨

Every good gift points us back to the Giver.
